A blunt weapon strikes some­one in the chest with IR 4. The half BN and Blunt AV of the metal armor reduce that to below 0 (effec­tively 0). That strike’s Shock DOES NOT still apply, right?

But if that chest HAD pre­vi­ously received a not-​yet-​healed wound with Shock, that old Shock WOULD apply, or would it only apply if the afore­men­tioned strike resulted in WL I or greater (with lower atten­dant Shock value)?
